Crocus Field Launch

Last October hundreds of people came together at Little Marton Mill in Mereside to be a part of the creation of a living artwork with artist Rebecca Chesney and Avant-Gardening as part of LeftCoast’s Growing People programme.

The goal was to plant 100,000 Crocus bulbs with local residents, businesses, organisations and schools to create a stunning gateway to Blackpool and a new habitat for bees and wildlife.

A public launch to celebrate the planting and flowering will take place at the Windmill on Sunday 8 March at 12pm and includes a local bee walk hosted by Alan Hulme and some delicious homemade soup.  All welcome.
